Where Have You Been?

My last blog post was almost two months ago, and I am deeply ashamed. Please forgive me, life has gotten in the way! The boys, Caleb & Joshua started a new school year, completely virtual on August 31st. It has been a struggle, how are you all coping with the new school year? There is talk of them returning back for in-person instruction for two days next week, we shall see.

Besides trying to stay sane in this house full of testosterone, I got a new job! If you’ve been following for a while, you know that I work in Television Production. My last job at PBS shut down in March, like thousands of jobs when the pandemic started. Many studios and television stations have been producing their shows from home. The industry has definitely taken a hit and things are looking very different. To move ahead, we have to adapt with the times. I have been blessed to start working from home on a new talk show for Youtube, The Carlos Watson Show! Check it out when you can and let me know your thoughts. I’ve linked the latest episode I worked on above. Thank God for friends who bring your name in up in conversations that get you hired!

I dropped a new video on Instagram this week, announcing that I am now an affiliate for The Lip Bar! You guys know how much I love lipstick, and I have raved about The Lip Bar for years. I feel like I manifested this partnership. I saw myself getting the email acceptance letter in my dreams. I visualized the content I would create, I knew it was for me! And low and behold after months of the interview process I received the email I dreamt about. The Lip Bar is black-owned, vegan, cruelty-free and most importantly it is affordable. Be sure to use code 3THECHICWAY on all of your Lip Bar purchases and tag me on Instagram if possible! Yes, I do get a small commission per sale. Check out my 5 minute face tutorial below:

Manifest your dreams, my people, they are already visualized you just have to believe it. I appreciate all of the support over the years, and I hope you will continue to stick around for the ride. So drop me a line below, how have you been? Let me know what’s going on in your world!

Manolo Blahnik Maysalebi Mules

Deets on my look. Jeans are my new fave style, the paperbag waist, got these from ZARA recently. I sized up for the looser fit I was going for, a similar option available here. The shoes are Manolo Blahnik, I couldn’t find this exact colorway online, but a beautiful plain red option is still available here. Here’s to fall fashion, I can’t wait to get cozy and start layering looks!
