Karese’s Fall Shoe Forecast

Happy October! It is the start of one of my favorite seasons, Autumn. I am the layering, pumpkin spice, boot-wearing Queen at this time of year. I know a blog about style can be very linear from the author’s point of view. Today I will share the shoes and boots making their way into the fall fashion must-haves, some of them I like and some I don’t. Let’s get into it!

I’m gonna start with the trend I am wearing, a lug sole boot. This is one of the trends I can take in moderation. I am not a fan of the very extreme lug sole as seen in a PRADA monolith boot, but this pair I scored from ZARA is right up my alley. The boots I chose give contrast against my feminine pieces, it speaks to the tom-boy chic aesthetic I tend to have. I paired the boots today with a flirty, feminine dress I scored from the Target designer collection earlier this year. These can also be worn with leggings, a dope shirt and a shacket, a mini skirt and an oversized sweater, with a slip dress and a leather jacket. The possibilities are endless. The ultimate lug boot that has been around since I was younger, the Doc Marten will always be a classic.

Now a trend I am not a huge fan of, but I am seeing everywhere is the shearling slide. For years I wanted the Gucci Princetown fur mules, but the shearling slides aren’t giving me what it’s supposed to give. Some of the fashion girls I follow on social rock them well though, picture a model off duty vibe. Boyfriend jeans, a graphic tee with the shearling slides. I do like these fur-lined Birkenstocks though, LOL! How do you feel about these?

Finally, we have clogs. That’s right wooden-heeled, old-fashion clogs are back in style honey. I’m not sure it is something I will be adding to my wardrobe this season but wanted to give you all the style forecast.

These are the trends I am seeing the most online, are you ready for Fall? My advice for trying a trend but aren’t too sure about it, buy a cheap version or a dupe of said trend. Then if you are head over heels in love and know you will wear it forever, make the investment in the quality pair! Happy styling and stay chic!

I love the lug boot ankle, midi or thigh highs. The clogs and shearling slides can stay I’m truly not a fan. I’m loving blazers with biker shorts, blazers and tanks with mom high waisted mom jeans and shackets.

Yes, a blazer will always be a staple in my closet NO MATTER WHAT SEASON LOL! I love a good shacket as well, it instantly elevates any look.

I saw that clogs were back while shopping online but I can’t really get into it. However I have been looking for a pair of loafers.

OMG after I posted this, I wanted to add loafers. They are definitely making a huge comeback. Thank you so much for reading!
