The Ultimate Holiday Skirt

Fall is definitely in the air and on the ground, it’s time to start thinking about the holidays. Over the next few posts, I will be styling pieces to give you all some inspiration as to what you can wear to all the festivities this year or just to the living room. For my family, the holidays are about spending time, catching up, taking a pause from the hustle and bustle and laughing. We love to crack jokes and have a good kiki. What do you look forward to during the holiday season?

The gold metallic fabric, the layered silhouette, the length and drama of it ALL speaks to me. I love supporting small businesses and this skirt is from local Staten Island business, Trendy Chix Boutique. You may remember me mentioning the brand because of these awesome pants here. I feel like a bodysuit, a turtleneck or funky graphic tee will be chic as well. This is the time to show up and show out! Many people have lost family members and the holiday season can be difficult. Others may have rocky relationships with family and choose to spend it alone. The weather and lack of sunlight affects moods, so be mindful while you are on the “happy holidays” train. Check out my post on beating the holiday blues from last year, here.
