How To Host The Best Virtual Party

This post is sponsored by BasicInvite.Com

As many of you know, I declared myself the host with the most a couple of years ago. I love to have parties and entertain my people. With everything that is happening right now in the world, I have been attending more and more virtual parties. I’m sure many of you have as well. Today, I have partnered with basicinvite.com to get you started on hosting your big events virtually.

Personalized Birthday Invites

As I have mentioned before, I love a good invitation. It sets the tone for your event and lets your guests in on what to expect. A customizable invitation is my favorite, to match the party’s theme. Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers infinite color combinations, with instant online previews! You can change the color of each element on a card, with over 180 different colors to pair. The card can be precisely how you want it, down to even the smallest detail. This is what sets them apart from any other online stationery company!

They can create anything for all the milestones in your life.

After the invitations have been sent, it’s time to set the scene. The decor is a big deal for me. I always aim to set a vibe with amazing ambiance. With the virtual parties, it’s great to have some sort of backdrop to set the stage for your viewers. I love a balloon wall or even just sequin or colorful fabric hung up will look great. It will make for a great photo op; you know we have to do it for the gram!

I like engagement and interacting with my guests. Since we are social distancing, it’s great to give guests of your virtual party a task. Have everyone wear the same color. Create a signature drink for the evening that all guests can toast with on camera. Send everyone a playlist for the event. It will make your virtual party more fun and give your guests something to look forward to. Try not to make it just another ZOOM call. Send care packages to the guests beforehand with the favors/treats that would have been given at the real party.

The organization is key. Just like a real party would have an agenda, make one for your virtual party as well. It’s best to be as organized as possible so everyone isn’t talking over each other. I know times are uncertain, but we have to celebrate when we are able to. I have learned during this time to sit back and be grateful, especially for the little things.

Give Thanks. Basicinvite.com also has great options for Thank You cards. Even if it’s just a virtual party, sending a note of gratitude to people will really uplift their spirits during this time. I encourage this since we are lacking social interaction, especially if you’re celebrating a milestone event. Graduation, a significant birthday, wedding, etc.

Thank you to basicinvite.com for collaborating with me on this post. Head over and check them out for ALL your invitation and stationery needs. I pray everyone continues to stay safe and has a wonderful holiday weekend. Thanks for reading, stay chic!

Ooh love good stationery options, even for virtual events! Will check out basicinvite.com. I hosted a zoom party for my birthday recently and I think the online stationery I used helped set the party tone. It was fun – created a trivia game about me that I led my friends through which was hilarious. Will keep your tips in mind for future events!
