Fringe Baby, Fringe

I hope everyone had a Chic Summer, and sent her off with a bang this Labor Day Weekend. Fall is quickly approaching, and you can see the turn-over in the store windows, catalogs, and magazines. I will be posting my favorite fall trends this week, and how I would style them.

First up, FRINGE. It was huge this summer and it will continue through Autumn, with richer hues of blues and maroons! I am in love with it as it can be dressed up or down. I love to have versatility in a trendy item, that way you can maximize the options already in your wardrobe, without spending too much money.

My favorite look is the rocker-casual vibe, because we all know, I think I’m Beyonce. This can also be a, model-off-duty look, ripped jeans, a band or graphic tee, and a “leather” jacket! The shoe is the statement here, let it stand out, but make sure the fit of this look is streamlined. The jeans should be fitted, the tee a little loose, and the jacket fitted. Proportions are an important element to looking stylish. Add a statement necklace for the extra edge, and you’re good to go!

I love a print. A printed pant, a printed top, a printed dress. I am not scared to play with textures and prints, so for a dressy vibe, throw on the same shoe with a printed Ankara dress! I usually get my pieces custom, however, many ready made pieces can be found on Etsy and Zuvaa. Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize!

Let me know how you would style this trend! Stay chic!
