Is it me, or is Fall in the air already? There is a slight chill and Summer isn’t even officially over yet, so it got me thinking about transitional pieces we can wear when Mother Nature is tripping. As you know I am in love with the kimono trend, and it doesn’t seem like the trend is going anywhere soon. It’s the perfect transitional piece for Summer to Fall. 
Does this Kimono look familiar? Yes, it is reminiscent of the infamous ZARA Kimono that Kourtney Kardashian was spotted wearing. But if you know anything about this blog, you will know that there is a budgetnista story behind this. That ZARA kimono sold out in minutes, and I believe it retailed for $99-$129 bucks. However, the one I am sporting here I scored for $30 from boohoo, and that was on sale from $60! GIRLLLLL, I added this thing to my cart so fast!
I figured while we still have some Summer left, let me get a couple more wears out of my white jeans, even though I don’t care about the, “no white after labor day,” rule. The Kimono has a green floral print that works well against this white summer look, and in my mind will be magical in the Fall with dark denim and mules! I survived the commute in NYC with these jeans, except for one stain, that is also an accomplishment!
Never one to be afraid of a little print mash up, I decided against a plain white tank for this look. Instead, I went for a floral cami to contrast the kimono. The clear heels elongate my legs and play sort of a neutral role in this look. While I don’t want Summer to end, we have no control over it, right? I will be looking for more kimonos in deep hues of burgundy, and yellow to ramp up my Fall wardrobe. They are the perfect effortlessly chic layering piece to add to the wardrobe! 
And we good and well know I was not floating around the streets of NYC in those heels all day! My ZARA fur slides work just as well with this look, and will also be a trend that hangs around for Fall! What fall trends are you all looking forward to?
