5 Things I Am Currently Obsessed With

I should stress obsessed with at the moment because the product junkie in me needs rehab. This post was inspired by the June favorites that many bloggers and influencers are currently putting out. While I do tend to stick to what I know when I love a product, I am always shopping and buying new things to research if you will. LOL!

It is the IT bag of the season, coming in many shapes, sizes, and colors. I am talking about the straw bag! You can literally find them at any fast fashion retailer and the higher end brands have even jumped in on the trend. Loving this one from PRADA and this Gucci version. Mine was a gift my bestie scored for me in Ghana but be sure to check your everyday shopping outlets for one in your price range and desired shape! I’ll be carrying mine all over the place for the remainder of Summer, you have been warned!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you notice I have been carrying smaller bags recently. They are just easier and honestly, it’s too hot to be lugging around a huge tote or shoulder bag. So, to fit my wallet into these smaller bags, I had to downsize the wallet. The wallet size has reduced but the money shall not, Amen? AMEN!! I had to support my bestie in my head, Mia Ray, when she dropped these compact wallets recently. They are the perfect size to fit your cards, ID, and some cash. It is currently sold out, so I suggest getting on her list for updates! #supportasista

On no makeup days, which have been pretty often because this heat is crazy, I opt for just a bit of the ELF Glow Lotion and a popping statement lip. Remember I told you about the Glow Lotion here? It has been used non-stop in my routine lately, there’s no SPF so please use accordingly.

The beautiful lip I can’t stop reaching for is Haute Mess from The Lip Bar. They are a vegan lip company owned by a black woman, now available in Target, what more can I say? The lip lasted all day at the pool, in between drinks, food and getting splashed by the kids!

Talk about influence. This product was recommended by beauty blogger MakeupShayla, and I picked it up from Target when I saw it. It was about seven bucks and babyyyyyyyyy when I tell you it’s the truth, believe me. I even stopped using it for a few weeks and my skin definitely noticed the difference. Whatever she got paid for that campaign was worth it, okay?! A little goes a long way, and to me, it’s gentle enough for everyday use. I keep one in PA and one in NYC because it’s not a game my loves.
