You Win Some, You Win Some

Life can be challenging! I tend to have to juggle so much mentally for so many people, that I get bogged down! Who is worried about me, when I’m the backbone and shoulder for so many? I saw a meme the other day on Instagram that said, “when your mental health is worse than ever, but you just have to pretend everything is fine.” I mean how many of us can relate? We just have to keep pushing through!

For me, when I put myself together physically, it can change my mood. It’s the most superficial thing, and I can see many of you rolling your eyes, but that’s my therapy sometimes. Working out in the gym gets my inner work taken care of, but dressing up and wearing lipstick never hurt either.

I love when the weather is beautiful. Getting outside and enjoying nature can work wonders for my mood. I’m a Scorpio. I’m a Woman. Combine the two, and you get a pretty intense, emotional firecracker. My moods switch easily, I shut down, I push everyone away, I like to be alone. Today, I said enough, I adjusted my crown and took care of ME! Self-care as a Mom is so important, and when I feel good, I can be good to everyone else around me!

I’ve adopted the “You Win Some, You Win Some” attitude! Things that we may see as a loss, may not be! Blessings can come in the form of NO also, so just be grateful for every step of the journey! Or at least try to be!

This dress is from my ZARA sale haul! It was the perfect weather for this lightweight knit, and a little shoulder action. I paired it with my go to booties and my velvet turban from Dara’s Fashions to play on texture!

What are some of your self-care methods? Let me know in the comments! As always, stay chic!
