I am a self-proclaimed highlight Queen! A highlighter is something I always wear, I can not leave home without it. Whether it’s a minimal look or full-on glam, there will be some shine. I put together a little video showing all my faves below:
In order of appearance:
For me, MAC Cosmetics was the first high-end makeup brand that I purchased on my own. It was the place where I felt like an adult shopping for makeup. Many of the highlight powders I own are from them.
The most frequent ones I use are MAC Mineralize Skinfinish:
Global Glow, Soft & Gentle, and Warmed. Warmed I believe is discontinued, which I hate, but I’m sure they offer something similar now. As you can see I tend to go for a gold or bronzy glow, I like the flecks of gold to show through and pop on my skin.
The newest addition to my makeup arsenal are these Colourpop loose powder highlights in collaboration with Makeup Shayla. I had never purchased a loose highlighter before and if I am being honest, they are hella messy!! On the other hand, the payoff is amazing. My fave is the more gold toned, BOOMING and she sure did name it correctly!!!
Last but not least we have this extra dimension blush from MAC in “Fairly Precious.” Now since this is a blush, I usually layer it on top of Global Glow or Warmed, and honey, life has been given! There are a couple more shades in this particular formula that I have my eye on!
