Back with the rest of our Belizean Vacation recap for ya! Let’s get right into it.
Aug 10. Belize City, visiting family! A major part of why we stayed in the City was so we can be close to family. Being that I haven’t been back for so long, I had to schedule some time to go around and drop in on everyone!
It was great for the boys to meet their extended family and get to see how people live in other parts of the world.
After all the family stops, we worked up an appetite. We headed to brunch at Celebrity Restaurant. These kids only ate chicken nuggets and fries at all the restaurants we went to, I can’t deal.
After brunch, we took the kids to a local arcade. It’s located in one of the hotel resorts in the city. It isn’t a huge space, think Chuck E. Cheese as opposed to Dave & Buster’s.
August 11. Kukumba Beach. Loads of fun in the sun. This would be our second beach experience this trip. What a lovely Sunday it was!
The weather was much better on this day than when we visited Caye Caulker. I only wished we had gotten there earlier, the beach closed at 5:00, so we had only about 2 hours there.
August 11, Evening. We quickly went back to the house, rinsed off and headed back out for some more fun. I mean it’s a vacation, let’s keep it moving.
At BTL Park, there are food vendors and family activities for all ages. There’s a trampoline, a video game center, and you can rent scooters, skateboards and different kinds of vehicles for kids.
August 12. Souvenir Shopping & Bird’s Isle. Bird’s Isle is a place I always hear my Mom and Dad talk about nostalgically. Like it was the hangout for their generation, and they have so many memories there. I was happy to go back there and envision what they used to talk about. Of course, it’s updated since then, but still beautiful.
August 13. Rest. I honestly, can’t remember why we didn’t do anything on this day.
August 14. Bacab Eco Park. Last full day in Belize City. We ventured out to another family-friendly resort. This one was a pool in the middle of a sort of jungle setting. Absolutely loved this place and the ambiance.
Once they are surrounded by water, all is well in the world.
August 15. We Depart. It was an amazing trip. I am manifesting that I will host a group trip to Belize, where all of you who want to come, can come with me! I just know we will be back more often than not!
