Another Fall essential I hope to slay is the Duster Coat. We’ve seen this in the sleeveless version from Spring and Summer, and we can definitely still carry those over into Fall. A little layering over turtlenecks or long tees and knits will solve the sleeveless issue.
I must say Kim Kardashian is the Queen of the monochromatic duster coat look, check her Instagram feed. This has been her go to look this Summer, during her second pregnancy. For fall, rip the page right from her book, and style it with dresses or skirts of jersey fabric, a simple nudist style sandal and you’re good to go.
I love this type of look because, it makes you look very put together, and all you did was throw on two or three easy pieces. Even the least fashion conscious person can wear this, and be seen as a style setter. It elevates your outfit by acting as a great accessory, kind of like a blazer.
Pairing the coat with jeans a la Queen Beyonce is also a great option. Once again for the same reasons. The length and silhouette of her coat, added an extra pop to her white tee and jeans. Her fab hat by Nigerian Designer/Stylist Ugo Mozie doesn’t hurt either. Basics coupled with great accessories, equals a winning combo.
