Happy June! Besides being the official month to kick off Summer, it is also the time to honor the men in our lives. Father’s Day will be here before you know it, so I’m here with a quick gift guide for the chic millennial Dad. Dads seem to play second fiddle to Moms, so let’s shine a light on them!
You all know I love a fashion spectacle, even if they are not prescription. Glasses have quickly become the ultimate go-to accessory for men! If you need to upgrade your dude’s frames, check out Warby Parker. Their specs are usually under $100, crafted in-house to keep costs low, and they donate glasses to someone in need for every pair that is sold! Giving back in more ways than one!
I am always a sucker for supporting small businesses. Chris Classic is someone I have followed for a while on Instagram. I am a fan of his transparency with co-parenting his son Julian and marriage to new wife Rye. He has created a fragrance that is unique to the user with notes of sandalwood and amber topped with tomato leaf and leather. What is better than a good smelling man? Check out Savoir Faire this Father’s Day!
Melanin Apparel is another small business that I found on Instagram. You know while doing research for this piece LOL! They have dope tees for the WOKE Dad in your life. Everything that is for us and by us can be found on a tee on this site. They also have an awesome collection of couple tees, for that family photo shoot, you will have soon! Check out Melanin Apparel here.
And lastly, may I suggest a card game that he will love for the next game night with the fellas. I was introduced to Black Card Revoked when we played it at my Friendsgiving dinner a couple years ago and the company has added a few expansion packs since then! There’s a Jollof & Fufu pack for my West African fam, a pack on the Obama Family, and even a black history pack! This is a super inexpensive gift that I am sure will create memories for years to come!
I hope this short list gets you to brainstorm the perfect gift for the Dads in your life. It’s all about the thought and effort that goes into gift giving and never about how much was spent on an item. What do you guys have planned for Father’s Day, I would love to hear below!
Thanks so much for reading and as always, Stay Chic!
