I hope you all have been enjoying the amazing weather we have been blessed with the last couple of weeks. It’s like Summer ’17 hung around a bit longer for us, and I’m not mad about it at all. We were able to extend our Summer wardrobe, and have more fun in the sun!
The boys were especially happy, after school they were able to ride their scooters and have more time outside. I swear they can live outdoors if you let them, one of the perks of having boys. I love that Caleb and Joshua are active kids, I don’t ever have to push them to get off of their devices to go and play. It seems like the kids these days are becoming zombies to technology at an early age.
Playing outside is also cost-effective af. It costs nothing to entertain the kids outside, get a ball, some sidewalk chalk, their bikes, bubbles, and they will for sure have a blast. In the winter, when it’s time to go to those indoor amusement parks, it won’t be as cheap. Weather, please don’t go!
I have come to accept life for the little pleasures it affords me. Waking up with a grateful heart isn’t easy and it has taken me a long time to get to this point. With all that is going on in the world, I have a lot to be thankful for, and if you’re reading this, so do you. So I take every moment, I can spend with the boys as a blessing. They are growing up so fast right before my eyes, and before I know it, they will be less dependent on me. Less willing to hang out with mom. Less open to me, more rebellious. Pray for a sista!
I wish you all peace and understanding as the seasons change. Protect your energy from all the negativity happening in the media, especially in Washington. Live your life for YOU, do what makes you happy. Learn to appreciate the simple things in life, because as they say it is short. Wear bright colors to enhance your mood, it can be a minor change but have a lasting impact on your day.
Caleb is wearing an H&M button down shirt, Primark shorts, and Zara paint-splattered sneakers. Joshua is wearing The Children’s Place shirt and shorts, with his Zara paint-splattered sneakers. I live to see the boys in bright colors! Share what you all have done in this amazing weather, would love to hear about it all! Thanks for reading, as always, stay chic!
