It’s sad that we are nearing a time where we have to think about purchasing all the necessities the kids need for Back-to-School. Gymboree has never been on my list of favorite stores to shop at for the boys. The fit and styles they carried were never something I gravitated toward to compliment the boys aesthetic. However, they have completely revamped their line and Caleb & Joshua were able to pick up a few things to go back to school in style.

This new school year will have Caleb entering 3rd grade on a completely different campus from Joshua. While I loved that they saw each other in the hallways and in the cafeteria these last two years, he is getting older and needs more independence. He is going to be 9 in December and I am trying to allow him to feel more mature and a little grown-up. Not too grown now, I will still check his behind when needed, but you know what I mean LOL!
I took a more preppy approach to his look. The striped button down has some really cool words sprinkled amongst the stripes and the pants are not the typical chino pant. The pants are versatile enough that he can wear with a tee shirt on a dress down day and I hiked them up a bit to give some more style. I must say the quality of these pieces are top notch, confident that they will not fall apart in the washing machine.
Joshua is a bit more rough around the edges and I chose a look that he can run around and get dirty in. Because knowing him, that is exactly how he will come back home. The tee shirt he is wearing is so soft he wanted to sleep in it. I have never felt anything softer. I love that the sweats were a more fitted skinny fit, and not a wide leg giving them a modern feel. I am sure he will want to repeat this look often!
