One of the most frequent questions I get asked when I post a picture on my social media is, “What lip is that?”
Well here it is everyone, all of my favorite lippies! I don’t subscribe to any rules when it comes to what lippies I wear and what seasons. If it’s summer and I want to wear a dark lip, I do. Same goes for wearing a light lip in winter!
My lip of the day goes with my mood, and I use it as an accessory to my outfits! Some days when I’m not wearing makeup, I just throw on a lip and some mascara and I’m out the door!
My fave nude lip is from The Lip Bar, it’s a gloss called Tiramisu Toffee. I love the pinkish nude tone of this and it’s an all natural vegan company! This shade is currently sold out on their website, goes to show how much of a great color it is!
Up next, this bright pink lip from NYX, called Merengue. I love NYX because it’s easily accessible in many drugstores, and local beauty supply stores. Hello this gloss has amazing color pay off for $5! Score!
My signature berry lip is a combo of NYX’s soft matte lip cremes in Copenhagen and Transylvania. Once again great color pay off, and their matte solution isn’t too drying like others i’ve tried. I always wear these shades together, the combo gives me the level of vampiness I like!
What lady doesn’t love a red lip? My fave is Sephora’s Cream Lip Stain in 01. It’s bright, matte, and affordable! I wear this all the time, day or night, dressed up or down. It’s a classic.
I couldn’t do a lipstick post and not mention MAC Cosmetics. I’ve been a MAC Lipglass girl since HS, and now I’m a MAC lipstick lover! My favorite is this bright matte purple called Heroine. It was sold out for a while, and I was so happy when I finally got my hands on it. Now I want the matching lipglass!
And last but not least, a lip I never thought I would love as much as I do! A blue lipstick! This Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Echo has become a staple for me! A blue toned lipstick is definitely not for the faint of heart, but I will say, don’t knock it til you try it! The name doesn’t lie either, everlasting, as in this bad boy isn’t moving at all! I have to remove it with coconut oil and a makeup remover wipe.
I have a lot of other lipsticks and glosses in my makeup bag, but these are my absolute favorites!
