Where Have You Been?

Gosh, I can’t believe it’s been almost two months since I’ve written a blog post! As creatives, we tend to juggle so many projects along with life and I had to step back from the blog for a bit. First off, work has been kicking my butt, no complaints there. Booked and blessed okurrrrr! Secondly, I had to focus on my event planning side for a bit, more on that later.

I am grateful for every chance that I get to be creative. Whether that’s styling someone for a photo shoot, writing, and giving input at work, it fuels me. So while on this hiatus, I was able to be the Creative Director for a 40th Birthday Photo Shoot. Even though it was for a family member, I still got to be hands-on with the project, I’ll share a couple of images below.

These images led up to an amazing dinner cruise on the Hudson via the Cloud 9 IV yacht charter. We have been planning this party since February and if I do say so myself, it was a HUGE success. I have planned events before, remember this? But this cruise was my biggest production, to date. I say to date because I am so inspired to explore this more and add it to my services. Here are a few images from the party:

Last but not least….

It means a lot when my family and friends trust me with some of the big events in their life. This event was a huge milestone and I hope the memories created will last a lifetime. It wouldn’t have my stamp of approval if I didn’t support Women as much as possible even in event production. I would like to take this time to shout out a few of the amazing Women vendors we used:

  1. Shanta Covington Photography for capturing over 1,000 images from the evening!
  2. K & T Party Designs for bringing the decor vision to life.
  3. Marry Me Magazines for creating the most beautiful programs for the event.
  4. Crown Candle Co. for the diligent effort on the personalized candle favors.
  5. Cakes By Violet for the Chanel Inspired Cake.
Leopard Summer Dress

School is out, so the boys are home. You know we don’t do camp, remember this post? But I have come to realize, next Summer may require something to keep them on track as they are getting older. This year with my hectic work schedule, I couldn’t find one to accommodate us in my price range. These kids are expensive y’all!!!

All in all, I am blessed. Summer brings a different kind of energy and I love it! What have you all been up to? Let’s catch up in the comments! What do you guys have planned for Summer? And before I let you go, the budget shopping hasn’t stopped. This dress was $14 from Primark! They do not have a shoppable e-commerce site, but I’ve linked a similar one here and here. Thank you so much for sticking around and your continued support!
