What Are You Grateful For?

Happy Sunday! I hope you all are relaxing and enjoying your weekend. It is a rare weekend off where I do not have any social or familial obligations and I am ecstatic! I was able to stay in my own space all weekend long and the boys enjoyed not moving around as well. Which brings me to this post. Life is short and we need to cherish the time we have with our loved ones as much as possible! Air Max 98 Radiant Emerald Have you ever received a phone call that stopped you in your tracks and everything flashed before your eyes? That is exactly what happened this week when the boys’ school called to say the school bus was involved in an accident. GIRLLLLLLL! “Not to worry, we checked all the children and there are no injuries to report.” Okay, so what happened? “His leg slipped off of the brake and he tapped the car in front of him. It was more of a fender bender.” Back To School 3rd Grade I know I tend to be classified as dramatic. But I literally started wondering what if the phone call was to let me know something much worse occurred. I can not imagine the feeling, nor do I ever want to experience that kind of pain. The funny thing is that once they started taking the school bus years ago, that has always been my biggest fear. You always hear of these horrific school bus accidents on the news, and the kids’ lives are essentially being placed in the hands of these bus drivers. I am grateful that everyone is okay! Air Max 98 Radiant Emerald Personally, I take a lot of things for granted. I complain about not having this shoe or that bag, and other non-sensical material things. When at the end of the day, my closet is overflowing with crap and I will still shop like I have a million dollars in my bank account. I look at social media and celebrities and compare our bodies and lives. Knowing full well, its all a façade, we all are just showing our highlight reels. Everything I need and have has already been provided to me. And to you all out there reading this as well! Air Max 98 Radiant Emerald Air Max 98 Radiant Emerald I need to practice GRATITUDE. Life can easily get me down with everything that I have going on, but there is always something to be grateful for. I have my beautiful family. I have an income. I have really amazing friends in my life. I have a home. I am healthy and the list can go on and on. Ankara Off-Shoulder Midi Dress Ankara Off-Shoulder Midi Dress With the state of the world we are in politically, I hope you all are taking care of yourselves. Mental health is REAL. I have unplugged a lot this week, so much so that my iPhone told me I reduced my screen time from the week prior. If that’s what I need to do to stay in a good place mentally, I will do that. I won’t watch the news either. Ankara Off-Shoulder Midi Dress This week also taught me that we should be letting the people in our lives know how we feel about them, while they are still alive to hear it. I have been hugging up on the boys more, listening to them more, telling them I love them more. They need to always feel the love inside and out! Life can change in an instant, I am trying to make the most of mine! Air Max 98 Radiant Emerald Wishing you all a great week ahead! Tomorrow starts the best month of the year LOL! Thanks so much for reading, stay chic and grateful! Let me know what you are grateful for in the comments below!

Indeed, just a reminder to be grateful for what we do have instead of focusing on what we don’t.
