Spring has been on my mind for a couple of weeks now. I mean she’s been making sneak appearances here and there, but then she retreats and old man Winter returns. Spring fashion is already in stores and online so I wanted to share my Spring Wardrobe hopes with you all today!
Slides and Mules will be everywhere for Spring into Summer. I remember having a pair of wooden heeled clogs back in the day, but now I am loving the heeled mule this season. It would be a great wardrobe staple to dress up a boyfriend jean and tee look, or with summer dresses! The Gucci slide is a blogger fave, especially the ones with the fur! Retailing for $595 it’s a definite splurge, but your favorite fast fashion retailers are sure to have dupes! The Zara mules are a statement with the macramé like fabric and details, solid colored mules are available for the toned done among us!
Yup I’m sure Miranda Priestly is rolling her eyes somewhere, but florals are a huge trend for Spring! You will see embroidered rose appliques on everything from jeans to shirt dresses. Romantic style layered and ruffled dresses are all the rage as well.
Structure striped shirts have been popping up on my radar as well. It makes for a clean sophisticated look with your denim, trousers or pencil skirts for a business chic look. Pay attention to statement sleeves as well!
This season, have fun mixing patterns and textures. The fun is in the juxtaposition of the soft romantic dresses and blouses with hard metal jewelry and outerwear. Playing up the rose details in your clothing with fun shoes or even sneakers. Everyone interprets fashion differently, that’s what makes us all chic in our own way!
