First things first. I shop when necessary. When you have built a solid, classic, timeless wardrobe, it can take you from season to season. I may throw in a few trendy pieces I like here and there, but many of the items featured on this blog, are seasons old. Do not shop just because, shop with a purpose and vision. This will help you stick to a budget!

By joining the e-mail lists of your favorite brands and stores, you will be the first to get coupons and sale alerts. Many of them can be used online, and/or shown on your smartphone in-store! If I know I need more than a few things from a store, I check for coupons, before shopping! I try not to pay full price for anything, unless I absolutely have no choice.

Who would have thought social media would make it this far?! H&M posted this on their Facebook page over the weekend. I was able to screenshot this post and save on some stuff I purchased for my niece. Those are the items pictured in this post’s title image. Make sure you follow all your favorite brands on their social media platforms, for extra saving bonuses!

I have recently started using Ebates. It’s a site that gives you cash back on every purchase made online. If you are an avid online shopper, this may come in handy for you. Once I go to a site, Ebates will automatically check that site for coupons that I may have missed, and upon checkout, give me a percentage of what I spent back. It is not a lot of money by any means, but it can def add up over time!

Blogger sales are where I have scored some major items! Many of you loved my vintage sequin blazer, from my last post, guess what? I scored that from a blogger’s Depop. We all follow our favorite online personalties for inspiration, many of them resell their items on sites like Poshmark, eBay, and maybe even on their personal blogs. If the quality is up to par, and the price is reasonable, think of it as consignment/thrifting! I have spoke of thrifting as a major coin saver here and here.

All in all, I shop this way because I have to. I am a mother of two boys who outgrow clothes so quickly, that it was in my best interest to learn how to: remain stylish while not going broke. It also makes me feel good that I can share these tips with all of you. I get an adrenaline rush when I do not pay full price for something! Let me know how you all save on your fashion trips, and I wish you all a Chic and healthy holiday season!
